Health data policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

Short version

No health data is stored on our server. Your birth details, symptoms, logs, journal and visit questions stay on your device. Our server keeps only the email you used to buy, your first name, and your payment status. We do not sell or share health data.

What this policy covers

This policy describes how Postpartum Recovery Compass handles consumer health data, including under Washington State's My Health My Data Act. An email address used to buy a postpartum recovery app can count as consumer health data, because it may indicate a recent birth. This policy applies whether or not you live in Washington.

What never leaves your device

Your baby's birth date and type, any complications, your daily and weekly logs (bleeding, wound, core), your symptoms, your journal and your visit questions are stored only in your browser (LocalStorage) on your device. They are never sent to our server or to anyone else. Clearing your browser data deletes them; use the export feature to keep a copy.

What our server keeps, and why

We never collect or store your health data (symptoms, logs, journal). We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and the pages load nothing from third parties (fonts are hosted on our own server).

Who we share data with

We only share the minimum needed to run the service, with these processors:

We do not sell your data

We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it for advertising or marketing. We only use the email address and first name you gave us to deliver the service you paid for.

Your rights

You can ask us to confirm what data we hold about you, access it, correct it, or delete it. You can also withdraw any consent and appeal our answer. Email hello@postpartum-recovery-compass.com, and we will respond within the time the law allows.
